Challenge · Part-145
Qualification data spread across too many systems
Ask organisations where their problems come from and the answer repeats: the process runs across four tools that don't talk to each other — and people carry the data in between.
The situation
The typical landscape looks like this: training planning lives in Excel. Authorizations are maintained in another list — with no digital connection to the first. Certificates sit in a filing structure of their own. Competence assessments are often still done on paper. Different people maintain different pieces, and every hand-over between tools is typed, mailed or remembered.
The damage is structural, not accidental: results can't travel because they aren't digital in the right place; every manual transfer is an error opportunity; and no single tool can answer the question that matters — is this person fully backed for what they're about to do?
Digitizing one piece doesn't fix it. The value appears only when training and authorization management close into one chain: only when the system knows which qualification is expiring and which training renews it can it act on its own.
Why it keeps happening
Each tool was someone's local fix
Every list solved one person's problem. Nobody owned the chain.
The links are humans
Data moves between tools by typing and email — slowly, and with errors.
Partial digitization doesn't pay off
An LMS alone or an authorization list alone still leaves the chain open. The synergy needs both ends.
How cimoio.aero solves it
-
One system for the whole chain
Staff data, qualifications, authorizations, trainings, assessments, certificates: maintained — or taken over from your HR system — in one place. Every piece of information exists once and is linked to everything it affects.
-
The chain closes — and starts working for you
Because expiry and renewal live in the same system, the process runs end to end: a qualification nears expiry → the renewing training is identified → assignment, completion and the incoming certificate extend the authorization. What used to be four hand-overs is one flow.
-
One source of truth — for every other system
With the chain in one place, cimoio.aero becomes the reliable source for everyone else: planning tools see who may do what and when, ERP and MRO systems base release permissions on live authorization data.
The functions behind it
Replace the hand-overs, keep the systems you like
In a guided demo we map your current tool landscape — and show which pieces cimoio.aero replaces and which it feeds.
Or start faster with Compliance as a ServiceMore challenges
-
Coordination overload with training providers
Every external course means the same loop: send the participants, chase the confirmations, handle the changes, collect the certificates. Multiply by every course, all year.
-
Proving compliance takes days
The question is always simple: who is authorized, since when, and on what basis? It's the answering that takes days — unless the answer is one click away.
-
Authorizations expire — or exist when they shouldn't
In a Part-145 organisation, only authorized staff may perform and release work. Every authorization that lapses unnoticed — or was granted without full backing — puts you in violation of aviation law.
